fIREHOSE - Ragin’, Full On (1986)

Another post that is not Math Rock, but it is as good as, and this has a special reason.
Recently it was announced that the band Tera Melos will play shows with the great band fIREHOSE, they will meet after many years apart.
And just as the Tera Melos, fIREHOSE is a band of extreme quality, of course, because they were made by former members of the late Minutemen (Mike Watt best Punk Rock bassist =3)
The band brought the experience of the Minutemen humorous punk with various influences from other genres, bringing diversity in their music and giving quality, but without leaving the essence of the punk side.
fIREHOSE was more to the side of Alternative Rock, but the influence of the Minutemen is clear, so that makes the band so good (and help the other member was a card-carrying fan of the band Minutemen = P).
And what they have to do with Math Rock? Nothing, just the tour that they will do with Tera Melos this year … but the instruments of the band is very well done, with superb bass lines made by Matt, drums with the aggression of punk and the ability of the Jazz and guitar notes in Rock N Roll style.
In my view, the influence of Math Rock arose from bands like this, and could not be wrong to say this, because it is an excellent band.
