Don Caballero - Please Tokio, Please This Is Tokio

When one thinks of the pioneers of Math Rock, Don Caballero certainly have to be in the middle.

In spite of the band reject the label Math Rock, is not inevitably associated with them, because their technique is quite accurate, more than the Math Rock bands common, going over to the side of progressive.

But I post this song from the band’s second album, to show that marriage between instrumental of Damon Che with Ian Williams (current guitarist for the band Battles) can offer us. Simply a mind blowing, with 11 minutes of technical and blowing drums and inspired guitar riffs.

It is a pity that Ian has gone to the band Battles (aka Battles is a band I do not like for various reasons not worth mentioning now), as Don Caballero is proof of what these two great musicians can do when they play together.
